Electronic signatures at Luzerner Kantonalbank

22.02.2019

Since 2017, a large number of business transactions have been signed electronically using the signotec Gamma signature pad and the signoSign/2 software.

Luzerner Kantonalbank AG (LUKB) employs around 1,000 staff across 26 branches. Its core business areas include property and corporate finance, pensions, and investment advice and management.

Founded in 1850, the bank combines tradition with modernity: since 2017, it has been relying on digital processes and efficient workflows using electronic signatures with signotec’s signature solutions.

The signotec Gamma signature pad and the signoSign/2 software are now in use in the customer service areas of all 26 branches. The robust signotec Gamma is ideally suited for the precise capture of signatures at the paperless point of sale. It impresses with its excellent design and superb feel.

The process is as follows: business transactions carried out in the core banking system Avaloq – such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers or foreign exchange transactions – are converted into a PDF via the print function. The documents are then displayed on the adviser’s PC in the signoSign/2 application and signed using the signature pad. The documents signed in this way are automatically transferred to the archive and are available to the entire bank within a few minutes.

This approach enables Luzerner Kantonalbank to eliminate all internal printouts of transactions, as only the customer is provided with a printout. Thanks to this seamless process, the bank benefits from significant savings in time and materials, whilst enjoying consistently positive acceptance and feedback from its customers.
