New update of signoSign/2 (version 12.0)

The new version 12.0 of our signoSign/2 software is now available.
With the signoSign/2 software, you can create PDF documents, sign them by hand and process them automatically. To enter your handwritten signature, you can use signature pads or pen displays from signotec, a Windows tablet PC, or a mobile device running the Android or Apple iOS operating system.
Here are the most important new features of version 12.0 at a glance:
- Pen display mode*: The software now fully supports signotec pen displays (monitor extensions). These can be configured in the same way as a signotec signature pad. When using a pen display, the document is displayed in mirror mode. You can scroll, zoom and work within it. In addition, handwritten notes can be captured and PDF form fields filled in using a virtual on-screen keyboard.
- Office formats: Documents in Office formats (e.g. Word or Excel) can now be officially imported via the ‘Open file…’ option. Upon opening, they are automatically converted into a PDF document using the signotec PDF Creator.
- Manual reminders can now be sent for documents shared in signoSign/Universal.
- Identification terms for document types can now be restricted to a specific page.
Improvements and bug fixes:
- The signature dialogue has been improved and can now be resized.
- Performance when opening documents from the signoSign/Universal platform has been improved.
- Performance when launching the application and opening documents has been improved.
- Error handling when defining identification and search terms has been improved.
- Bug fix regarding changes to document status via DATEVconnect.
- Bug fix regarding the processing of faulty signoSign/Universal workflows.
- Bug fix where signature additions were not inserted correctly visually.
- Bug fix where automatic email sending used the outbox instead of the drafts folder.
- Bug fix regarding licensing in certain proxy environments.
- Bug fix where unsupported file types were mistakenly linked to signoSign/2.
- Fixed an issue where, in certain system environments, the captured signature was reset in the signature dialogue.
- Fixed an issue with the confirmation of empty notes.
- Fixed an issue with using the touch interface to fill in form fields.
- Fixed an issue with the ‘Split documents’ function.
- Fixed an issue with the technical processing and validation of form fields.
- Fixed an issue with the pre-definition of permitted signing methods when using signoSign/Universal.
- Fixed an issue with print processing.
- Further general bug fixes and improvements.
* The new pen display mode is currently only available in local Windows environments. In virtualised system environments (e.g. RDP or Citrix), only the generic Tablet PC integration can still be used.

Installation instructions:
All customers with an active software maintenance contract (AMS) can download and install the update free of charge as usual. If you do not have such a contract, you are not entitled to the update and will have to pay for it. Please note that the software can no longer be used after the update without a valid and suitable licence! It is not possible to restore the old version!
Discontinuation of the Mobile Capture plug-in
The Mobile Capture plug-in for signoSign/2 was discontinued on 31 December 2025. Further development has ceased, and the plug-in is no longer supported as of version 12.0. We recommend signoSign/Universal as an alternative for mobile signing. For a smooth transition and further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
