The Spanish Ministry of Justice relies on signotec solutions

Serdacap and signotec have jointly provided the Spanish Ministry of Justice in Madrid with a comprehensive e-signature solution. The Spanish Ministry of Justice now has 560 signotec Delta signature pads in use, featuring Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity and Kensington laptop locks. In addition to the hardware, the signoSign/2 signature software as well as biometric and RSA tools have been integrated.

This all-in-one solution is digitising internal signature processes across the majority of the Ministry. This represents another major step towards digitisation, with the aim of conserving resources such as paper and working hours.

Crucial factors for the Ministry of Justice were the aspects relating to security, connectivity and the size requirements of the hardware, all of which are comprehensively met by the signotec solution. The signotec Delta is primarily designed for applications where the aim is to display documents in full. A4 documents are displayed at their original width. Signatures made on the pad are captured with 2,048 pressure levels and a sampling rate of up to 500 Hz, whilst the pen’s movements in the air are simultaneously recorded. The Ministry sees the advantages of this solution in the PoE connection, the additional tools and the unique, patented security mechanisms.
