Electronic signatures in Adobe Acrobat Reader and Pro

With the signotec Adobe Acrobat plug-in, you can sign PDF documents and forms directly within Adobe Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro. The solution integrates signotec signature pads and Windows tablet PCs into the familiar Adobe interface, allowing signatures to be captured within the existing PDF workflow without any disruption.

Typical applications include forms, contracts, consents and other PDF-based documents that need to be edited and signed directly in Adobe.

For businesses, this is particularly useful if Adobe Acrobat is already in use and signatures are to be captured directly within this environment. This allows existing workflows to remain in place, whilst signature capture is supplemented using signotec pads or a tablet PC.

Features & Benefits

Signature processes can be initiated directly in Adobe Acrobat and carried out within the familiar PDF environment. This reduces media discontinuities and makes it easier to integrate electronic signatures into existing document workflows.

Directly in Adobe Acrobat
Documents are signed directly in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro. There is no need to switch to a separate signing application for the actual signing process.
signotec pads
The plug-in supports signotec signature pads for handwritten signatures directly at the workplace. This ensures that the process remains personal and closely resembles the existing signature process.
Signature via tablet PC
Signatures can also be provided via a Windows tablet PC if desired. This is useful if a separate signature pad is not being used or if a more flexible method of capture is required.
Seamless processes
Existing PDF forms and documents can continue to be used in the familiar Adobe environment. This allows signatures to be captured digitally without having to print out documents or edit them manually.
Legally valid electronic signature
The solution meets the requirements for advanced electronic signatures. In addition to the visible signature, biometric characteristics such as writing speed and pressure are also recorded. This data is stored in encrypted form within the document and can serve as evidence in the event of a dispute.
