Electronic signature in RangeeOS

By integrating signotec signature pads into RangeeOS, electronic signatures can also be used in thin client environments. Companies that use Rangee thin clients can thus map signature processes directly in their existing applications and virtual workstations.

RangeeOS supports various technical methods for connecting the devices. These include USB forwarding, virtual COM ports (e.g., for signotec devices with FTDI chips), and use via Citrix Virtual Channel.

This allows signotec signature pads to be used in centrally provided applications or virtual desktop environments without having to print and rescan documents.

Features & Benefits

The integration enables signotec signature pads to be operated in Rangee thin client environments and signature processes to be implemented directly within the applications used.

Integration in RangeeOS
signotec signature pads can be connected directly to Rangee thin clients and used with preinstalled drivers. This allows electronic signatures to be used even in thin client infrastructures.
USB redirection
USB forwarding allows connected devices to be transferred to virtual workstations or terminal servers. Applications in the central system can thus access the signature pad directly.
Virtual COM ports
Some signotec devices, such as models with FTDI chips, can be integrated via virtual COM ports. This makes it very easy to transfer devices to virtual workstations or terminal servers—often with better performance than native USB forwarding.
Citrix Virtual Channel
A virtual channel is available for Citrix environments. This allows signature pads with modern connection technology to be used in Citrix sessions without requiring additional configuration.
