Advanced Electronic Signature (AES)
The Advanced Electronic Signature (AES) in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation combines a high level of security with ease of use and low costs. It enables signatures to be uniquely attributed to a person and protects documents from tampering. The AES is ideally suited to a wide range of business applications such as internal approvals, order confirmations or contract conclusions where a qualified electronic signature is not strictly required. Companies thus benefit from faster, fully digital processes whilst maintaining high legal validity and optimising costs.

Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)
For particularly high requirements – e.g. for contracts that are legally required to be in writing – signoSign/Universal also supports the qualified electronic signature. This is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature and is facilitated by qualified trust service providers. This allows documents to be signed with a qualified signature using signoSign/Universal simply and securely – without the need for physical hardware such as card readers or signature cards.
