Eurocell relies on signotec

Since October 2024, Eurocell has been working with signotec to integrate electronic signatures into its new ERP system, Intact Genetiq. The aim was to replace the existing paper-based receipts for the receipt of goods with a digital solution.

After evaluating various providers, Eurocell opted for signotec – the decisive factor being the compatibility of the signature pads with the Linux-based IGEL OS, a key requirement for the planned roll-out in January 2027. Close collaboration between signotec, Intact Genetiq and IGEL ensured that the integration could be seamlessly aligned with the existing IT infrastructure.

The solution: 442 signotec Zeta-Pads for Intact Genetiq

With the 442 signotec Zeta pads, customers can sign electronically in future for their goods directly in-store. The signotec Zeta’s robust, durable display is designed to handle up to 30 million signatures, making it suitable for intensive use in day-to-day branch operations – whilst ensuring the captured signature has high evidential value thanks to precise ERT sensor technology. The signature is stored immediately in the ERP system and assigned to the relevant order – paper receipts are completely eliminated.

With the roll-out of the new Intact Genetiq ERP system, electronic signatures will be introduced in January 2027 across all 215 branches of Eurocell Group Ltd. in the UK. The order for 442 signotec Zeta Pads underlines the comprehensive approach to digitalisation across the branch network.

Through close collaboration between Eurocell, signotec, Intact and IGEL, a solution has been implemented that is technically tailored precisely to the existing infrastructure. In future, customer signatures will be captured and archived entirely electronically – a further step towards efficient, paperless and transparent business processes in the high street retail sector.
